Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Senior Cook to support the daily operation of the kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes and maintaining consistent food standards. The successful candidate will assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in delivering efficient kitchen operations while ensuring every dish meets our 5-star culinary standards. The Senior Cook plays an important role in delivering quality, consistency, and teamwork that support the overall guest journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to approved recipes and quality standards.
- Complete mise en place before each service.
- Manage and operate an assigned kitchen section independently during service.
- Ensure food presentation, portion sizes, and quality remain consistent.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the assigned work area.
- Maintain 5-star culinary standards.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and FIFO stock rotation.
- Report equipment issues or shortages promptly.
- Work closely with the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and other kitchen team members.
- Support and assist Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff when required.
- Contribute to a positive, efficient, and collaborative kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Cook, or 1 year as a Senior Cook, in a reputable hotel, resort, restaurant, or commercial kitchen.
- Ability to manage and operate an assigned kitchen section independently.
- Strong attention to detail, consistency, and food presentation.
- Good understanding of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene.
- Positive attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for culinary excellence and continuous learning.
- Willing to relocate to Lombok.
